Grrrh!

Hordes of youngsters turned out at the Crossroads mall in Mumbai to see WWE superstar John Cena. Some of the little ones came dressed for the occasion, slipping into costumes of other popular wrestlers like Hulk Hogan and Big Show; some carried replicas of the championship belt. One of them appearently flew in from Dubai to see the WWE star.

The show, as made up for entertainment as the sport, was complete with a DJ and disco lights.

The crowd, which was steadily growing in numbers, went into a frenzy when Cena stepped on to the stage. Off went his T-shirt into the waiting hands of the mob and Cena got into the act. He involved the audience with the customary getsures and broke into a rap song. The man had once even walked into the stands and grabbed a beer from an astounded-yet-hystercial fan.

No beers here; only mobile phones poked out everywhere in the video tape mode.

He later thanked them and said it was the one of the biggest audience he had played to.

"The closest it came to was in Italy but this was beyond anything we had expected."

The American also said that the fans here were very knowledgable about the game. Another warning for parents to secure their TV censor mode better.

Cena, the former RAW champion, standing high at 6' 1 inches on 240 pounds and with 22-inch biceps, believe it or not, was once a very small kid.

"I got picked on a lot as a kid. So I thought enough of it; I'm going to be a big guy just so people stay away from me."

At 13, he started lifting weights and built his body in an intimidating mass of muscle.

After a shot at American football, Cena settled nicely into the WWE ring, which he asserts is a real world.

"For me, none of the matches are stage managed," said Cena.

"I have an unorthodox style, I beat people up. And because I don't know what I'm going to do next, it surprises people and entertains them. I like the spontaneity."

Cena is also all right with the WWE being viewed solely as entertainment and not as a sport.

"It doesn't disturb me that it is not taken as a serious sport. But the fact is that there are some of the finest athletes here. A lot of them have come from other professional sports. Unlike some sports, when people buy the WWE ticket at least they know they are going to be entertained fully.

"You see all this people here. They come because WWE is a great entertainment sport and they feel a part of it."

To involve the crowd further, Cena turned into a hip-hop singer and came out with his album 'You can't see me'.

"Music is another medium to express yourself, to release your emotion. Breaking into rap songs on the stage makes me think on the spot."

On his first visit to India, Cena also showed interest in the Indian favourites -- cricket and food. All he knew was that cricket was a lot like baseball and had heard about it in Australia on his last visit.

In the end, the experience of spending the morning with Cena and his fans, which turned out to be an outrageous number, was just the knid of tickling fun it was meant to be.

The WWF, or WWE as it is now known, bug that bites every youngster is back with a bite.

Only Mark Calloway has played the role of The Undertaker.
Didn't he start out with a different name?Yes. He debuted at Survivor Series 1990 simply as The Undertaker. In the weeks after he used the name Kane the Undertaker at house shows and on WWF television. The Kane part was dropped awhile after and he just went by The Undertaker again as he still does. It was also at this time that Undertaker switched managers from Brother Love to Paul Bearer. The story given on WWF television was that Paul Bearer simply bough out Undertaker's contract from Brother Love.
Did he ever wrestle in WCW?Yes. Mark Calloway wrestled in WCW as "Mean" Mark Callous in 1990. He wrestled as part of the Sky Scrapers team and then as a singles wrestler. His most famous match in WCW was fighting Lex Luger for the U.S Title at Great American Bash.
What was the story behind the Undertaker "dying" in 1994?At the end of 1993 The Undertaker began to feud with Yokozuna. At Royal Rumble 1994 they fought in a casket match for the world title. The Undertaker was about to win the match when 10 heel wrestlers interfered and helped Yokozuna put Undertaker in the casket to win. After the match Undertaker appeared on the big video screen and gave a short speech on how he would not rest in peace and would return for revenge. After the speech the lights went out and Marty Jannetty dressed as The Undertaker was raised up to the roof of the arena in the crucifix position giving the angle that Undertaker ascended to heaven. In real life Mark Calloway just needed time off to handle some family matters. He didn't actually die!

Who was the Fake Undertaker?

About 5 months after the Undertaker "died" at Royal Rumble Ted Dibiase began claiming on WWF television that he had the Undertaker. Paul Bearer came out weeks later and said he had the Undertaker and that Dibiase that lying. A match was signed for Summerslam 1994 for the two Undertakers to fight each other to see how actually had the real one. Paul Bearer had the real Undertaker of course and Ted Dibiase just had Brian Lee dressed as the Undertaker. Undertaker beat Brian Lee at Summerslam with three tombstones and the Fake Undertaker was never seen and barely talked about on WWF television again.

Who is Kane?
Kane is played by Glen Jacobs. Kane is suppose to be The Underaker's brother who was burnt in a fire when he was young. Undertaker and Kane were playing with matches and caused the fire killing their parents and scaring Kane. Undertaker did not know Kane lived though since he was hidden by Paul Bearer. In 1997 Paul Bearer came on WWF television and told Undertaker's story and that Kane was still alive. Kane finally appeared at Badd Blood 1997 attacked Undertaker during his match.

Did he ever beat Hulk Hogan?
Yes. Undertaker beat Hulk Hogan by pinfall at Survivor Series 1991 for the world title. Ric Flair did interfere in the match though slipping a chair in the ring for Undertaker to tombstone Hogan on.
Why did he wear a mask in 1995?
In 1995 Mabel was being pushed as the monster hell in the WWF. To get Mabel over he did a couple of leg drops on Undertaker and supposably broke a couple bones in his face. So Undertaker started wearing a purplish grey mask to his matches. It last until Royal Rumble 1996 when he took it off during his match.

What was the "logofixion"?
On an edition of Raw is War in late 1998 The Undertaker "crucified" Steve Austin on a giant version of his symbol. Austin was tied to the structure and it was then set on fire and was raised high in the arena. Many people were offended by the incident but it soon died down.

What was the Ministry of Darkness?
The Ministry of Darkness was a stable of wrestlers started by The Undertaker to help him try to take over the WWF. It consisted of: The Undertaker, Paul Bearer, Viscera, Mideon, Bradshaw, Faarooq, Gangrel, Christian, and Edge. There was also a mysterious "higher power" who The Undertaker got guidance from. The group made the plan to kidnap Stephanie McMahon and get Vince McMahon to hand over the WWF for her return.

Who were those gothic people in the crowd in 1995?
After The Undertaker was injured by Kama Mustafa in 1995 two people known as "the creatures of the night" appeared in the crowd at WWF shows. They dressed in gothic clothes and put funeral wreaths of black flowers by the ring. After the Undertaker returned the "creatures" disappeared.

How long has the Undertaker been in the WWE and how many times has he been the WWE champion?
Undertaker first joined the WWF/E in 1990 at the Survivor Series under the guidance of then manager Brother Love. Undertaker has been a world champion in the WWE on 4 occasions as of June 13th, 2003.

How many matches did the Ultimate and Undertaker have and who won them?
I know that Undertaker and Ultimate Warrior had a match at Rampage 1991. Yea, they fought at Rampage in Toronto, but they never fought on TV. Although they fought many times from April to August of 1991, but like I said, they were all house shows.

For many who do not know, Mark began his career in wrestling in a federation known as CWA. He wrestled here under two different identities: First as Master of Pain and then as The Punisher. He also wrestled in a fed called CIW under the name, Commando. Later, he moved on to the WCW under the name of "Mean" Marc Callous and was managed by Teddy Long (Now a WWF referee) and was slipped into Sid Vicious' spot on the tag team, The Skyscrapers when Sid suffered an injury. During this time as a Skyscraper, Mark worked along side "Dangerous" Dan Spivey. When Vicious returned to work, it set off a fued and soon afterwards, Mark left for higher ground and showed up on the scene with Brother Love as the WWF's Undertaker. It was the 1990 Survivor Series when the world was introduced to the man that would become 2 time WWF Champion, the leader of the Ministry and the American Badass. It was not so long after he arrived that Brother Love was out of the picture and a more fitting Paul Bearer showed up to take the management reigns. Before setting his sights on the World Champion, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker fueded with the Ultimate Warrior. On November 27th, 1991, The Undertaker surprised the world by winning the Title from Hogan after piledriving him onto a steel chair while Bearer distracted the referee. Unfortunately for Creatures of the Night, it was a short 6 day reign before Hogan beat him in a rematch. During the early period, Undertaker fueded with the biggest of WWF stars, includin Kamala, Giant Gonzales and Yokozuna. Undertaker had a tremendous record against the giants but at the 1994 Royal Rumble he lost against Yokozuna in a No Holds Barred Casket Match. It was when victory seemed a moment away that eight other wrestlers were brought out by Mr. Fuji and the destruction of the Undertaker happened. But vowing a return, the COTN were surprised to see that Ted Dibiase had announced that he signed the Undertaker and soon the Undertaker was showing up on cards. By June, Paul Bearer had confronted the Undertaker and stared him down before leaving and thus claiming that the Undertaker was a fake, swore that at the 1994 SummerSlam Ted Dibiase's UnderFaker would go down at the hands of the real Undertaker. Sure enough, The Undertaker defeated the imposter with a Triple Tombstone Piledriver in front of a sold out and quite silent crowd (I honestly believe that no one knew who was who until the end). Undertaker had sure returned with more power. He went on after that to beat Crush in a run of Casket matches, returned the favor to Yokozuna and defeated him in a casket match at Survivor Series 94, defeated IRS at the 95 Royal Rumble. His luck stopped shortly when Mabel pinned him at the King of the Ring Tournament in 1995. Went on a fued with Kama (now the Godfather) and beat him in a series of casket matches including a major casket match at SummerSlam 95. **NOTE: Prior to this fued with Kama, Undertaker wrestled Kama under the name of Pappa Shango in 92** In 1996, one of the longest running on again off again fueds between the Undertaker and Mankind began. This brought on a series of events that sent the Undertaker saga into a whirlwind. The fued included a Boiler Room Brawl in 1996 where Bearer betrayed the Undertaker and ended their relationship. The fued went on as Undertaker teamed up with Jake Roberts to battle Mankind with various partners in a series of matches. Defeated Mankind in a Buried Alive Match in October. In the same year, Undertaker battled the Executioner in an Armageddon Match. In January of 1997, he attempted a shot at the prized gold against Sid Vicious and lost by countout. He went on to interfere with Bret hart/Sid Vicious matches after Hart cost him the title. Finally in a match between the Undertaker and Vicious, Undertaker won the title for the second time when Vicious beat off the interfering Bret Hart. When he turned back to Undertaker, the Tombstone was delivered and the match ended after 21 minutes and 19 seconds. Trouble was not over, for the deadman, Bearer began blackmailing him and said that he would reveal his secret to the world. That day came and the former manager told all that Undertaker's little brother was alive. Undertaker lost the World Title to Bret Hart at SummerSlam 1997 when Shawn Michaels as the special referee mistakenly hit Undertaker with a steel chair allowing Hart to pin him. Following month in September, Undertaker gained revenge in a draw match against Michaels (actually it was more like a Michaels beating). And again challenged HBK in a HELL IN A CELL match in October's Badd Blood PPV. The brother of the Undertaker, Kane emerged and tombstoned his brother allowing Michaels to score the pin. In January 1998, challenged Champion HBK at the Royal Rumble in a Casket Match. After Tombstoning Michaels into the casket, Bearer and Kane came out ignited the casket burning Undertaker alive. Reappeared to battle Kane at Wrestlemania in March of 98 and recovered from a tombstone and pinned Kane. Went on to win over his brother in a series of matches. Interferred in a match between Kane and Austin hitting Austin with a chair allowing Kane his first WWF Championship. He lost it back to the Rattlesnack the following night on RAW. Undertaker started the Ministry and then the Corporate Ministry both which were flops and after on again off again bonds with Kane, finally redesigned his gimmick with the American Badass. Since the changeover, Kane and Undertaker seem to have bonded possibly for good and are currently reaking havoc in the WWF.

The Undertaker took on Rikishi, which the dead man won.
The next week at Raw, the Undertaker came to the aid of the Rock, who was under siege by Kane and Rikishi. The Undertaker cleared the ring and stood triumphantly with the Rock in the ring.
At Smackdown, a four way match to determine the 30th entrant in the Royal Rumble was held, the participants were the Rock, the Undertaker, Kane, and Rikishi. After a action packed match, Rikishi got the win.
At Raw is War, Vince McMahon made a match pitting the Rock and Kane against the Undertaker and Rikishi. The Rock was about to hit the Undertaker with the Rock Bottom, when Kane got in the ring and chokeslammed the Rock, so the Undertaker could then hit the Last Ride to win the match. The Undertaker and Kane then stared at each other.
At Smackdown, Steve Austin, the Rock, and the Undertaker took on Kurt Angle, Rikishi, and Kane with Triple H serving as the special referee. The match featured many things, including the Rock and the Undertaker not getting along, and Steve Austin getting in the face of Triple H. After a misunderstanding Triple H pedigreed Kurt Angle, then Austin attacked Triple H. The Rock got in the ring and pinned Angle to win the match. Steve Austin then Stunned Triple H, Austin and the Rock then got in the faces of each other, but then Kane and the Undertaker hit the ring and delivered a couple of chokeslams.
The Undertaker participated at the battle royal at the Royal Rumble, he quickly teamed up with his brother Kane and the two dominated, but eventually the Undertaker was eliminated by Rikishi.
The next night at Raw is War, Kane was double teamed by Rikishi and Haku, then the Undertaker came to the rescue and the brothers delivered a double chokeslam to Rikishi. But Undertaker and Kane didn't act too friendly towards each other afterwards.
At Smackdown, the Undertaker took on Rikishi. The Undertaker brought the match to Rikishi, but it didn't take long before the advantage went back and forth. As the Undertaker was about to finish off the big man, Haku hit the ring and demolished him - before Kane came to the rescue. Later Kane lost to Kurt Angle thanks to Haku and Rikishi, who continued to demolish Kane, the Undertaker then came down, but he was also demolished.

Vince McMahon was also supposed to be the referee, but wasn't able to make it due to injury. Before and during the match Vince sent replacements, but the Undertaker took care of them. The match with Austin went back and forth, after Austin had caught the Undertake with the Stunner, Vince McMahon had come to ringside and wanted to deliver the three count, but Shane stopped him. During the fuss the Undertaker got Austin down for the count and Shane was quick to deliver the three slaps to the canvas.
The Undertaker interrupted Steve Austin's whining session at Sunday Night Heat, May 30, here the Lord of Darkness stated that he would present Austin's mind, body and soul to his Lord as the ultimate sacrifice. The next night at Raw is War the Undertaker again stated that Austin would be presented to the "higher power". But Vince McMahon appeared and announced a rematch between the Undertaker and Austin for the WWF World Title. But Shane didn't like the idea and then stated that if Vince could defeat the Undertaker, Austin would get his title shot. Austin, who was disguised as a druid then popped out and started attacking the Undertaker, but the Corporate Ministry took care of him until the Union came to the rescue. The Undertaker then took on Vince McMahon in a match, where the Lord of Darkness dominated, unfortunately the referee wouldn't allow the mistreatment of Vince, so he reprimanded the Undertaker, who responded with a couple of shoves to get disqualified. The Undertaker then chased the referee through the crowd.
In the main event the Undertaker took on Steve Austin, and as expected they continued their wild brawl from earlier matches, where Undertaker continued his damaging work on Austin's knees, and Austin did his usual brawling antics. As the Undertaker went for the Tombstone piledriver, Austin delivered his Stunner, but Paul Bearer dragged the referee out of the ring. The rest of the Corporate Ministry then attacked Austin and tied him to the ropes. The person, whom the Undertaker had referred to as the "higher power" then appeared and showed his face to Austin, who shocked and angered said "son of a bitch".
At Raw is War, June 7, Vince McMahon revealed himself as the Greater Power, but Austin and Linda McMahon had a counter, as Steve Austin was revealed as the new CEO of the WWF. Later when Triple H was getting his tail kicked by the Rock, the Undertaker came to Hunter's rescue. The Undertaker completely destroyed the Rock by nailing him with a Chokeslam and a Tombstone on a chair, before Paul Wight chased him off. The match against the Big Show was very intense, after brawling around the ringside the two combatants ended up in the ring, here Wight chokeslammed the Undertaker, who went through the canvas. The Corporate Ministry then swarmed the ring, as the Undertaker retreated to the locker room.
The next week on Raw is the Undertaker was challenged by the Rock to a WWF World Title match, the Undertaker accepted, but the McMahons talked him out of it. In order to the title match the Rock had to defeat the Undertaker in a match to take place the same night. The McMahons also appointed Triple H into the match to make it a three way. The two members of the Corporate Ministry dominated the Rock, but when Chyna tripped the Undertaker, he became mad and attacked her, Triple H wanted to help her, but the Rock caught him to score the victory. After the match the Undertaker and Triple H started to fight.
The problems between the Undertaker and Triple H continued at Sunday Night Heat, June 20, here Triple H had stated that he was going after the WWF World Title, and that he didn't care if the Undertaker had the title or not. This didn't sit well with the Lord of Darkness, as he stated that if Triple H wanted to step into his yard, he'll find out who owns that yard. Later that night the Undertaker had enough of Triple H and attacked him.
The next night at Raw, Triple H called the Undertaker out, but before the two got it on, the Corporate Ministry stopped them. The Undertaker also got a good shot at the Rock, when he planted the Rock with a Tombstone after a match. The match between the Undertaker and Triple H quickly went into seesaw mode after Chyna delivered a few of her blows. The Undertaker however got the initiative back and blasted Hunter with a chokeslam, this brought in the chair wielding amazon, but the Undertaker blocked the move. The Rock then came to the ring and blasted the Undertaker with a Rock Bottom and delivered several People's Elbow drops. The Corporate Ministry tried to make the save, but they were stopped by the Big Boss Man. In the mean time a giant Brahma Bull head had descended from the ceiling, the Rock then handcuffed Paul Bearer to it, while the show went off the air.
The Undertaker was more than ready for his match against the Rock at King of the Ring, he clotheslined the referee in the start of the match, but the strategy backfired as the Rock took the advantage. The match went back and forth, the Undertaker and Bearer then tried the old trick with ether on a cloth, but again the Rock intercepted and used it on the Lord of Darkness. Luckily Triple H came to the rescue and used the Pedigree on the Rock, but still it wasn't enough to keep him down, so the Undertaker finished him off with the Tombstone to seal his fate.
After the Undertaker had battled the Rock in a great contest at King of the Ring, he got a big surprise the following day at Raw is War. Here Steve Austin made it clear that he had signed a match to take place the same night against the Undertaker for the WWF World Title, with the stipulation that if the Ministry members interfered Austin would be awarded the title. The match between the Undertaker and Steve Austin was another hard fought brawl, Bearer saved the Undertaker from a loss, when he yanked out the referee after Austin had hit a Stunner. Steve Austin then took care of Bearer and returned to the ring, where he nailed the Undertaker again and took the victory. After the match the Undertaker busted Austin open with the belt.
At Sunday Night Heat the Undertaker challenged Steve Austin to a First Blood match. Later the Undertaker apparently patched things up with Kane, who is involved in a feud with Paul Wight and Hardcore Holly. Kane and Holly were going at it, when Wight decided to join the frey, but the Undertaker made his presence felt and together with Kane, he just stared at Wight, who then decided to head back to the locker room. The Undertaker scored the pin for the faces, when he nailed Angle with the Last Ride.
At Raw is War, the Undertaker clashed against Rikishi, the two big men had a good match, however Kurt Angle interfered, so Rikishi could land a superkick and then the Banzai Drop to score the win. After the match Angle and Rikishi continued to pummel the Undertaker. Later Vince McMahon went to the Rock and tried to talk him out of the Hell in the Cell match, but the Undertaker sent him packing. Later the Undertaker thanked Vince McMahon for his "concern" by delivering the Last Ride to the boss, but then he along with Steve Austin and the Rock were beaten down by Triple H, Rikishi, and Kurt Angle.
At Smackdown, Mick Foley signed a fatal four way featuring the Undertaker, the Rock, Steve Austin, and Kurt Angle. The three faces worked together against Angle, but eventually they started to break up each others pin attempts. Triple H and Rikishi then hit the ring and laid the faces to waste. The alliance then celebrated, but then Angle nailed Rikishi with the WWF World Title, and then Triple H blasted Angle with a chair as the show went off the air.
At Armageddon, December 10, it was time for the six man Hell in the Cell match pitting Kurt Angle, the Undertaker, Steve Austin, Triple H, the Rock, and Rikishi against each other to determine the WWF World Champion. The match of course was pretty wild and it was impossible to score the three count, since the others broke it up. During the match Vince McMahon in his quest to stop the Hell in the Cell match, came to the ring in a truck and tried to rip the cell apart, but Foley and the police stopped him. However the truck with pine chips in the bed was still parked close to the ring. The wrestlers then fought outside the ring and then on the top of the cage - here the Undertaker pushed Rikishi of the cell and into the bed of the truck. In the ring the Rock hit the Rock Bottom on Angle, Austin then made the save and Stunnered the Rock, Triple H made the save - meanwhile Angle regained his senses and pinned the Rock, who was still knocked out cold. After the match Austin nailed Kurt Angle with the Stunner.
At Smackdown, Foley booked the Undertaker to take on Raven in a hardcore match. The Undertaker completely maintained control and won after he blasted Raven through the announcers table courtesy of the Last Ride.
At Raw is War, December 18, the Rock and the Undertaker teamed up to take on the WWF Tag Team Champions, Edge and Christian. The two teams provided a great match, which the Rock and the Undertake won, when the Rock hit the People's Elbow on Edge to win the WWF Tag Team Title.
At Smackdown, Edge and Christian were granted a rematch, this time Kurt Angle served as the referee. The Undertaker hit the Last Ride, but Angle was busy keeping Christian from interfering. Angle then shoved the Rock, who answered with a Rock Bottom. When Angle recovered, he hit the Rock with the Olympic Slam, put Edge on top and made the three count.
At Raw is War, December 25, Stephanie McMahon announced that the Rock and the Undertaker would clash in a match later in the night. The two gave it everything they had and delivered a solid match, but when the match seemed to be near an ending - Rikishi hit the ring and caused the disqualification.
The Rock and the Undertaker was set to take on Rikishi in a handicap match at Smackdown, but Stephanie turned the advantage against the faces, when she announced that William Regal and Kane would team up with Rikishi. A good match, which ended after the Rock hit a DDT on Regal, after Regal got laid out with a chair, which was intended for the Rock.

In my opinion this helps Austin since the brothers can't pin each other for an easy win. McMahon then stated that Austin screwed himself, this got Austin to attack McMahon, but the Undertaker and Kane jumped Austin.
Later that night Mankind caused a loss to Kane, who was up against Rocky Maivia, when Mankind hit Kane with a sledge hammer this got the Undertaker to challenge Mankind to a match. The match was brutal and the sledge hammer, tables and chairs were used, Kane also helped the Undertaker, who was on his road to injure Mankind with the sledge hammer, when Rocky Maivia emerged from the dumpster, which Mankind had brought to the ring, and saved Mankind's ass. Later that night Austin fought Ken Shamrock, but the match was thrown out of the window when Undertaker and Kane attacked, this brought out Mankind and Rocky Maivia, who also joined the melee, but Austin got the better of the brothers when he brained them with a chair. At Sunday Night Heat, the Undertaker and Kane stated that the deal they had with Vince McMahon only was business, and that they didn't like McMahon. At Raw is War the next day, Undertaker and Kane got another chance to squash Austin before Breakdown, when the brothers went up against Austin in a tag match, but Billy Gunn came down to the ring to even the odds, but Kane and Undertaker won the match, even though it wasn't the legal man they pinned.
The Triple Threat Match at Breakdown was as expected an all out brawl, where the Undertaker and Kane teamed up and beat Austin, but the brotherly duo also had their differences and broke up some pin attempts, but eventually they patched things up again and togehter they pinned Austin, but McMahon took off with the belt.
The next day at Raw is War, Vince McMahon would present the title to the new champion, but before either Kane or Undertaker was named champion, Steve Austin broke into the arena and attacked McMahon. Due to the attack, McMahon stated that the brothers hadn't lived up to their part of the deal, by protecting McMahon from Austin. Therefore McMahon ordered a match for the title at Judgement Day between the brothers and Austin would be the referee. Furthermore McMahon said that a handicap tag team match would take place, with the brothers going up against the team of Ken Shamrock, Mankind, and Rocky Maivia.
As Undertaker and Kane were walking away they turned around to see McMahon show them the bird, this got the brothers to attack McMahon and they dragged him out to the floor and crushed his leg, by laying it across the bottom section of the ring steps then pounding on it with the top section. Undertaker and Kane lost the handicap tag team match, when Rocky Maivia hit the Undertaker with Rock Bottom. Afterwards the brothers were having a heated discussion.
The problems between the brothers continued the next week, when Kane squared off against Ken Shamrock, when Kane went to teh top turnbuckle, the Undertaker shook the ropes, which caused the loss for Kane. Later the Undertaker took on Rocky Maivia in a strong encounter, during the match Kane came to ringside and waffled Undertaker with a chair, but it wasn't enough to keep the Taker down as he got up and Tombstoned Maivia on the chair for the pin.
The problems between the brothers continued at Raw is War, October 12, the brothers teamed up to take on Rocky Maivia and Steve Austin, but the brothers weren't much for cooperating in the beginning of the match, but when the Big Boss Man downed Austin with his nigh stick, the brothers teamed up to pound on Austin.
At Judgement Day, the Undertaker and Kane shook hands before their match. The match wasn't very good, but the ending will be the start of something interesting. Kane chokeslammed Austin, who served as a referee, then Kane chokeslammed Undertaker, this brought out Paul Bearer. Paul offered to hit the Undertaker with the chair, but Kane just turned his back on him, Kane was then whacked with the chair. Undertaker then whacked Kane with a chair and went for the cover, but Austin refused and hit the Undertaker with a chair and delivered a couple of Stunners. Austin then counted both men out and declared himself the winner.
The next night at Raw is War, the Undertaker and Paul Bearer revealed that they had reconciled, the Undertaker then stated that he set the fire that maimed his brother because Kane was weak. This brought out Kane who challenged the Undertaker to a casket match. The match didn't have a clean finish since Kane went after Paul Bearer, but the Undertaker stopped Kane, and together with Paul Bearer he left the arena. The next week at Raw is War, the Undertaker attacked Steve Austin, but this brought down Kane, who started to pummel the Undertaker.
At Sunday Night Heat the Undertaker chokeslammed X-Pac, which resulted in a challenge for a match at Raw is War the next night. But before the match really got started Kane made his way to ringside and tried to blast the Undertaker with a fireball, but he avoided it and X-Pac took the full blow. Kane then chased Undertaker out of the arena.
At Survivor Series, the Undertaker and Kane tangled once again, but with Paul Bearer on his side Undertaker won. In the semi final the Undertaker took on Rocky Maivia, but Kane showed his ugly head in the match - choke slamming Maivia and by doing that the Undertaker got disqualified. Undertaker and Kane then brawled to the dressing rooms, I'm getting a bit tired of this feud, how many times have these guys slugged it out? Too many!
The next night at Raw is War, the Undertaker took out his frustrations on Steve Austin with a shovel, during a match between Austin and the new WWF World Champion - Rocky Maivia. The Undertaker wanted to hit Austin again, but Paul Bearer wouldn't let him.
The feud with the Steve Austin took a bizarre turn at Raw is War, November 24, the day before it had been announced that Austin suffered a blackout at a house show, during Raw clips of Austin at hospital where shown. Suddenly the Undertaker and Paul Bearer arrived in a hearse and they sufficated Austin with a pillow, until he passed out. The Undertaker wanted to bury Austin alive, but Steve woke up and started fighting until the Undertaker choked him out. Undertaker then wanted to embalm Austin, but that didn't work out either as Kane came to the rescue.
Steve Austin wanted revenge on the Undertaker, but the Undertaker locked Austin into a freezer room. Afterwards he challenged Kane to a brawl, which Kane answered to, but security officers with with nightsticks and straight jackets started attacking Kane, who then escaped through the crowd. Later the Undertaker clashed with Kane again and knocked him out, the Undertaker then wanted to stuff Kane in a body bag, but Austin interfered. Austin got the last laugh as he broke a shovel over Undertaker's head and together with Kane, Austin threw Paul Bearer into a sewer.
At Sunday Night Heat, the Undertaker fought Mankind, but the match was thrown out the window, when Steve Austin and the Rock interfered. The Undertaker also clashed with Austin, Kane, and Mankind at Capital Carnage in a Fatal Four-Way Match, the Undertaker tried to take Austin out, but in the end Austin won, when he pinned Kane.
Raw is War, December 7, in one of the most sickening angles ever the Undertaker promised that Steve Austin would burn in hell, and then set a cross on fire. Later the two clashed in a tag team match, where the Undertake knocked Steve Austin out with a chair, then he took him up to the cross and crucified him, Austin promised that he would get back at the Undertaker as the show went of the air.
At Rock Bottom, the Undertaker clashed with Steve Austin in a Buried Alive Match. It was a pretty brutal match, where they used the shovels as weapons. After hitting the Undertaker with the Stunner, Austin chased Paul Bearer to the back, the Undertaker then had time to recover, but then an explosion occured and Kane was in the grave. Kane tombstoned the Undertaker and Steve Austin then quickly filled the grave with dirt, with the help from a bulldozer.
The Ministry of Darkness
At Raw is War, January 11, 1999, the Undertaker made his long awaited return, there had been many rumors regarding what would happen. The Undertaker came out in a new look, and Paul Bearer with his old look. The Undertaker talked about the ministry (the Acolytes, Bradshaw and Ron Simmons). He slit his hand and made Dennis Knight drink the blood. He then carved The Underatker symbol in Knight's chest, while speaking a different language than English. The Undertaker symbol was then lit on fire by a lightning bolt.
The Undertaker also had a bizarre interview at Raw is War, January 18, where he stated that there would be another victim at the Royal Rumble, before a lightning bolt set the Undertaker symbol on fire. At Sunday Night Heat before the Royal Rumble, the Undertaker announced that he would choose his next victim to sacrifice at the Royal Rumble. During the Royal Rumble, when Edge had nailed Mabel with a low blow, the Undertaker's music started playing and the Acolytes forced Mabel up the aisle, where the Undertaker was waiting. Later we saw the Acolytes and Midion stuff Mabel into a hearse.
At Raw is War, February 1, the Ministry of Darkness got some new members in the shape of Viscera (Mabel) and the Brood (Gangrel, Edge, and Christian), these new members will surely help the Undertaker fulfilling his plans.
The Undertaker took another victim at St. Valentine's Day Massacre, namely the Big Boss Man, whom the Ministry of Darkness carried away after three mighte splashes from Viscera. The next night at Raw is War, we found out that the Boss Man didn't join the Ministry of Darkness, but also that the Undertaker wants to take over the whole WWF. The Lord of Darkness also gave a letter to Shane McMahon, which he should bring to Vince.
At Sunday Night Heat, the Undertaker got his reply from Vince McMahon. Vince stated that he was running things and that the Lord of Darkness would take on Kane in an Inferno Match at Raw is War and that the Undertaker would burn in hell. Later during a match with Viscera going up against he Big Boss Man, the Undertaker stated that he might burn in hell, but that McMahon would be the first.
The next night on Raw is War, the Undertaker stated that he was Vince McMahon's worst nightmare and that he would soon own the WWF. Before the Inferno match against Kane, Paul Bearer delivered a box to McMahon, which contained a stuffed teddy bear. Undertaker won the match, when he pushed Kane's foot into the fire. Undertaker then took the teddy bear and set it on fire, which got Vince to say: No please no. This revealed that the Undertaker has something planned with a McMahon relative.
At Sunday Night Heat, February 28, the Undertaker completely demolished Kurrgan and then stated that he would take control of the WWF. The next night at Raw is War, the Undertaker took on Mankind, during the match Vince McMahon announced that the Undertaker would take on the Big Boss Man at WrestleMania in a Hell in the Cell match. The match with Mankind was declared a double countout, the Undertaker then went after McMahon, but the Boss Man came to the rescue, but so did the Ministry, who threw Boss Man into the crowd.
The next week on Raw is War, the Undertaker with the Ministry of Darkness was looking for the Big Boss Man. When they found him they dragged him onto the stage and wanted to crucify, but the Boss Man broke loose. Shortly after the Undertaker was put in handcuffs by the police and taken to the station. We also found out that the Undertaker would take out the Corporation until he got to "she".
Raw is War, March 15, the Undertaker again played possum with Vince McMahon, as the Undertaker were at McMahon's home and stated that he would get her. This frightened McMahon, but the Undertaker also showed up in the arena disguised as Kane, which further scared McMahon. At Sunday Night Heat the Undertaker and the rest of the Ministry of Darkness took another stab at Vince McMahon and the rest of Team Corporate, during a match between the Rock and the Big Boss Man the Ministry attacke the Boss Man - the Rock then went for the hills, but was confronted by the Undertaker and Paul Bearer at the entrance as the show went off the air.
The next week on Raw is War, the Undertaker along with the Acolytes took on the Big Boss Man, Ken Shamrock and Test, but the match was thrown out of the window, when the Undertake and the Big Boss Man took the fight to the crowd.
At WrestleMania, March 28, the Undertaker took on the Big Boss Man in a hell in a cell match - and as expected it wasn't as good as it's predecessors. The match was bloody but didn't contain any big bumps. During the match the Big Boss handcuffed the Undertaker to the cell and started beating on him with his nightstick, but the Undertaker and broke loose and regained the initiative and later blasted the Boss Man with the Tombstone to gain the win. After the match the Brood descended from the ceiling onto the roof of the cell, they lowered a noose to the Lord of Darkness, who put it around the neck of the Boss Man, who was hung when the cell was raised.
Ken Shamrock
The next night at Raw is War, the Undertaker along with the rest of the Ministry of Darkness stalked the McMahons, and it was revealed that when the Undertaker referred to "her" or "she" he meant Stephanie McMahon, whom the Ministry kidnapped. Ken Shamrock later found her, but a Undertaker symbol was written on her forehead.
Undertaker's actions apparently had affected Vince McMahon, since he sat in the locker room with Stephanie the entire time, the following week at Raw is War. Undertaker also punished Christina for squelling to Shamrock, but also Shamrock got to pay for his actions as the Ministry beat him down and stuffed him in the trunk of a car, which the Acolytes drove away. Later the Undertaker sacrificed Ryan Shamrock and told McMahon that Stephanie would be next. This didn't sit well with Mr. McMahon who cursed at the Undertaker.
At Sunday Night Heat, Ken Shamrock was calling out the Undertaker and even went as far as to refer the Lord of Darkness by his real name. Raw is War, April 12, the Undertaker still wasn't pleased with Christian, so he ordered him to take on Paul Wight alone, Christian along with the rest of the Brood was supposed to take him on in a handicap match, but that didn't happen. Later the Undertaker was looking for another victim to sacrifice and he chose Debra, but Ken Shamrock came to her rescue with a baseball bat - the Undertaker told him not to strike him, since he would never see his sister again, the Lord of Darkness then stated that she was in the boiler room.
In the boiler room Shamrock along with Mankind was attacked by the Ministry. The Undertaker then wanted to sacrifice Ken and also Christian, but that didn't sit well with the Brood, who turned on the Ministry, Shamrock then escaped and alongside Mankind and the Brood they took on the Ministry. Ken Shamrock then called out the Undertaker, who attacked him from behind, but Shamrock regained the upper hand and this got the Ministry to attack him. Looks like the Undertaker will have his hands full with Shamrock for a while.
The Undertaker have problems handling defeat, this came to full forces at Raw is War, April 19. Here neither the Acolytes or Midian succeeded in the quests that the Undertaker demanded from them. The Acolytes got attacked by Viscera for their failure. The Undertaker also continued his mind games with Ken Shamrock as he stated that Ryan was in an abandoned hote in room 223, on Interstate 96. Later Viscera took on Paul Wight, who dominated and went for the chokeslam, the lights then went out and the Undertaker went face to face with the Big Show, they started brawling and Viscera helped the Lord of Darkness until Mankind came to Wight's rescue.
At Backlash, the Undertaker and Ken Shamrock brought out the best off each other. The match had a lot of good moves. During the match Bradshaw came to help his master with a baseball bat, but Shamrock took care of him. Ken Shamrock then wanted to finish off the Undertaker with a Tombstone, but the Undertaker reversed it to score the pin. After the match Bradshaw attacked Shamrock with the bat. Later the Undertaker got what he had wished for as he speed off with Stephanie McMahon in a limo.

Steve Austin
The next night at Raw is War, the Undertaker wanted some documents from Vince McMahon and that he wanted Steve Austin to deliver them. McMahon didn't live up to his part of the deal so the Undertaker started a ceremony with Stephanie, Ken Shamrock and Paul Wight tried to stop it, but the Ministry took care of them. When Paul Bearer stated that the Undertaker could kiss the bride, Austin' s music blared over the PA system and he took care of the Ministry and the Undertaker, who then ran off.
At WWF Smackdown, April 29, the Undertaker was out for revenge against Steve Austin, so he put himself in a tag team match with Triple H against Austin and the Rock. Later during an arguement between the Rock and Steve Austin, the Undertaker showed up along with Shane McMahon and announced that they had joined forces to form the most powerful force in the World - the Corporate Ministry. During the match the Corporate Ministry ran down and beat down the Rock and Austin, but the were saved by Ken Shamrock, Test, and Paul Wight. The Undertaker then dominated Austin and was about to seal his fate with a chair shot, but Vince McMahon came in and dared him to nail him, which the Lord of Darkness was only happy to oblige, unfortunately this gave Austin enough time to get up and nail the Taker with the Stunner.
At Sunday Night Heat, the Corporate Ministry showed its supremacy by taking out Mankind, Ken Shamrock and Test. Later the Big Show Paul Wight called out the Lord of Darkness, who while the rest of the Ministry held Wight, told him that he was the most powerful man in the WWF. Shane McMahon then got Wight arrested for smashing a car window with a 2X4.
The Undertaker announced at Raw is War, that he would take on Steve Austin at Over the Edge for the WWF Title, he stated that he would win the title and sacrifice Austin, to get the advantage Shane McMahon appointed himself as the special referee. But then the Corporate Ministry were interrupted by the Union (Paul Wight, Mankind, Ken Shamrock and Test).
Later the Undertaker together with Triple H and Chyna mugged Vince McMahon. For his actions, Paul Wight had to face the Undertaker. Wight dominated the first part of the match and quickly got the Undertaker busted open. But the Undertaker had a plan, during the match Paul Bearer poured some ether alcohol on his elbow pad and shoved it in the face of Wight, who responded by throwing the Undertaker over his head. The Lord of Darkness then broke a baseball bat by using Paul Wight's head to get disqualified. During a match between the Rock and Steve Austin, the Undertaker attacked Austin and threw him off the stage onto the ground where he crashed through a table.
The next week on Raw is War, Paul Bearer was ordered by Shawn Michaels to go up against Paul Wight, with a special stipulation that if the Corporate Ministry interfered, the Undertaker wouldn't gain his title shot against Steve Austin. After Wight had pummeled Bearer for a while, he dropped the stipulation to get his hands on the Undertaker, but the Lord of Darkness responded by attacking Wight with the whole Corporate Ministry. Later in the night the Undertaker teamed up with Triple H and Shane McMahon to take on Steve Austin, the Rock and Vince, the match was a total brawl and Austin ended up pinning Shane.
At the special UK ppv, No Mercy, the Undertaker along with Corporate Ministry member Triple H took on Steve Austin in a three way dance. The two Corporate Ministry members weren't able to get Austin down, due to infighting. The Undertaker again did Shane's dirty work on Raw, May 17, where he along with the rest of the Corporate Ministry attacked Vince, who was taken out on a stretcher. Later when the Corporate Ministry was going after Steve Austin, the Union attacked Shane McMahon, the Ministry then ran back, which left Paul Bearer, whom Austin caught and Stunned.
Later the Undertaker took on the Rock in a casket match, the Rock dominated the match and was about to roll the Undertaker in the casket, when Triple H, Chyna, and Shane McMahon made their presence known. The Undertaker gained the advantage when he delivered a low blow to Maivia. Triple H then worked on the Rock's broken arm with a sledge hammer, and the Undertaker followed it up, when he slammed the arm against the casket. The Rock was then rolled in the casket. The Undertaker and Triple H then knocked the casket of it's stand and Triple H started pounding on the casket wit the Sledge Hammer. During a match between Triple H and Steve Austin, the Undertaker made his way down to the ring, as the Undertaker symbol was lowered. The Undertaker along with his associates started attacking Steve Austin, the Undertaker then tried to handcuff Austin to the symbol, but he turned things around and handcuffed the Undertaker to the symbol instead. The symbol was then raised as the Undertaker laughed.

The Undertaker made his entrance from the ceiling equipped with bat wings and a new leather outfit and with a black tear under his right eye. The Undertaker won the match, but didn't get the enjoyment of have Bearer from himself, when the Executioner attacked.
After the Undertaker destroyed the Executioner, he started feuding with Vader, the two clashed at Royal Rumble 1997 where Paul Bearer made sure, that Vader won, when he used the urn on the Undertaker. The Undertaker also failed to win the WWF World Title at Final Four, but he was awarded a title shot at WrestleMania 13 against Sid, whom he also feuded with at the start of his face run. The Undertaker also made sure that Bret Hart didn't defeat the Undertaker for the title a week before WrestleMania 13, because he felt that he had been standing in the shadow for too long of Bret and Shawn, when it came to title matches.
When the Undertaker made his entrance, he wore his old outfit which looked like the one he wore when he beat Hogan for the title. Undertaker defeated Sid to lift the title, and he deserved it. With the Undertaker's as champion, Paul Bearer wanted to manage him again, and started to say that he had a secret that would turn all the fans against the Undertaker. For months nothing happened, but at a Raw is War taping from March 31 the Undertaker and Paul Bearer started arguing, this brought out Mankind, who blasted the Undertaker with a fireball, and thereby the feud with Mankind continued.
Undertaker defeated Mankind at In Your House 14 to end the feud once and for all, Undertaker also blasted Bearer with a fireball. The next contender was Stone Cold Steve Austin, but thanks to the Hart Foundation the Undertaker came out victorious.

The Big Secret
Paul Bearer kept talking about the secret and finally the Undertaker decided that he could do nothing than to follow his old mentor, though he often took a swing against Bearer's cronies Vader and Mankind, but the fans still cared for the Undertaker. Faarooq was the next contender for Undertaker's title, but he was no match for the Undertaker, but after the match Bearer wanted him to chokeslam Faarooq, which he had to do, this brought out Ahmed Johnson who tried to knock some sense into him. This was the setup for a feud between Ahmed and the Undertaker, but it never happened because of Ahmed's constant injuries.
June 23, the Undertaker had had enough of Paul Bearer and his cronies, in a tag team match between the Undertaker and Vader against Faarooq and D.Lo Brown, Undertaker turned on Vader and Paul Bearer, when he punched the living daylights out of Vader. June 30, Paul Bearer finally told us Undertaker's secret. Bearer stated that the Undertaker had burnt his parents house down and killed them, and that his brother Kane was still alive and looking for revenge, but it took some time before Kane finally made his debut. Before the Undertaker got his TV debut, he was introduced as Kane the Undertaker.
Instead of Ahmed as the next contender Vader was the next victim, who couldn't do anything to stop the Dead Man. Bret Hart then placed him in the title picture, because of the USA vs Canada angle. Shawn Michaels was assigned as the special referee because he wanted to be part of Summer Slam, this later turned out to be the downfall for the Undertaker. During the match Paul Bearer again showed his ugly face, but it didn't affect the outcome. In the end of the match Bret shoved and spit Shawn in the face, Shawn wanted to use a chair on Bret, but he moved and the Undertaker took the full blow, and Shawn could do nothing but to count the three count and declare Bret the new WWF World Champion.
The Undertaker was furious on Shawn Michaels for causing him the loss of the title, and the fans accused Shawn of being a traitor to the USA and the Undertaker. August 18, Undertaker and Mankind had a tag team match against Shawn Michaels and Hunter Hearst Helmsley. In the end of the match Shawn used a chair on the Undertaker, which busted him open, and thereby started a feud between them. Their first encounter was at Ground Zero, where they delivered a strong performance and fought to a no contest.

Kane
But the match at Ground Zero was far from the end of this feud. The next match was at Badd Blood and was entitled "Hell in a Cell", because of the cage they had to fight in. This match was a classic, they fought inside the cage, outside the cage, and on top of the cage, truly fantastic, when the Undertaker was about to end the match, Kane (Glenn Jacobs) made his first appearance, he ripped the door of the cage and then went on to a stare down with the Undertaker, before he blasted him with the Tombstone, and thereby giving Shawn Michaels the victory.
Kane and Paul Bearer have destroyed almost every wrestler in the WWF just to get to the Undertaker, but he have stated that he will not face his own flesh and blood, which translated means they will. The feud with Shawn Michaels haven't ended yet, the two will clash again at the Royal Rumble in a Casket Match.
The Undertaker and Kane had apparently joined forces, beating Shawn Michaels, when he said that Kane would join the Degeneration X, but as always don't expect it to last since the WWF have tried to build up this feud for months.
As expected Kane turned on Undertaker at the Royal Rumble, when Kane threw Undertaker in the casket and later set it on fire, hopefully this does not mean that the Undertaker will sit out until Summer Slam as the last time he lost a casket match.
At Raw is War, March 2, the Undertaker returned, Kane manhandled the timekeeper, when Paul Bearer wants the Undertaker to appear so Kane can do the same to him. The lights go out the bell tolls and a coffin appears on the platform, when suddenly a lightning bolt strikes it, and the Undertaker is back. The Undertaker said that even Kane's best effort could keep him down. A masterful performance by perhaps the greatest personality in modern wrestling history. At Raw is War from March 17th the Undertaker rescued Sable, when he diverted Bearer's attention, when he appeared at the top of the Titan Tron, he threatened Kane and then a lightning bolt illuminated a casket containing a dummy of Kane.
At WrestleMania 14, the Undertaker and Kane finally got it on, the match displayed that the two men can use some amazing moves despite their size. The Undertaker pinned Kane after he used the Tombstone for a third time, after the match Kane tombstoned the Undertaker on a chair. The feud between the two big man heated up, when Kane decimated their parents tombstone, and then set it on fire. The two men will clash at Unforgiven in a fire match, some one is going to get burned!
April 13th, Raw is War, The Undertaker went on a rampage because of Kane's actions to their parents tombstone. The Undertaker attacked wrestlers, thereby showing that he is just as evil as Kane. Kane brought shame to his parents graves at April 20th at Raw is War, Kane burned one of the caskets and chokeslammed the Undertaker through the other, in my opinion the WWF have gone too far.
Undertaker and Kane had a great Inferno match at Unforgiven. Undertaker won the match, when Kane was caught in the fire, Bearer also took a shot from the bass drum and speared him with a microphone stand. For the Undertaker's sake I hope this feud is over.
The following day at Raw is War, Undertaker called out Kane to finish what they started at Unforgiven. Paul Bearer and Kane came out, Bearer stated that it was time for a truce, and said that Kane was his son of fire. The story line have confirmed that Bearer indeed is the father of Kane, Bearer then called Undertaker's mother a whore, which brought out the rage of the Undertaker. I don't know where this is leading. Undertaker and Kane continue their run-in attacks on each other, hopefully the WWF have thought of a good ending to this feud.
The Undertaker have also started messing with Vince McMahon, it started at Raw is War, May 25th, when the Undertaker Chokeslammed McMahon, because he was pissed. Undertaker decided to stand on Steve Austin's side, when he fought Dude Love at Over the Edge, where Vince McMahon and his cronies tried to cheat Austin out of the title. The night after Over the Edge the Undertaker called out McMahon and accused McMahon of humiliating him regarding his family for ratings, Undertaker he had had enough and demanded a title shot. McMahon came out and promised Undertaker a shot at the title if he could defeat Kane. Undertaker had destroyed Kane, but there was no referee to make the count, instead Mankind used the Mandible Claw on the Taker, which caused him the defeat. After the match the Undertaker and Mankind brawled.
At Raw is War, June 8th, the Undertaker arrived to the scene and he was obviously pissed, he invaded McMahon's office, but he wasn't there. After that he went to the ring and destroyed Chainz and Puke and demanded McMahon, who only showed up at the Titan Tron. But the Undertaker wasn't finished later he chokeslammed Mark Henry and Vader, later Dustin Runnels and Val Venis got the same medicine, before the police confronted him.

Hell in the Cell II
The next week on Raw is War, McMahon accused the Undertaker of an attack on Austin last week by Kane and Mankind. But before the Undertaker could lay his hands on McMahon, Bearer challenged Undertaker and Austin to a match in the cell against Kane and Mankind. They accepted, but also said that they couldn't trust each other. The Undertaker didn't appear when his music played, even though it was played twice, instead Austin started an all out brawl with Mankind and Kane. Bearer went into the cell to protect himself, but here the Undertaker emerged from under the ring and attacked Bearer, who bleed like a pig, finally Undertaker got his revenge on Bearer. The next week on Raw is War, the Undertaker continued his assault on Bearer, as he attacked Bearer in his home.
At King of the Ring, Undertaker and Mankind put on a great show in the Hell in the Cell match. Mankind took some great bumps, which made the Undertaker look good, though he had injured his ankle. Some of the best spots in the match was when Undertaker threw Mankind from the top of the cage and through a table. Mankind was also chokeslammed THROUGH the cage and landed in the middle of the ring. The end came, when Undertaker chokeslammed Mankind on some thumbtacks and then Tombstoned for the victory. Undertaker also had a saying in the match for the WWF World Title between Steve Austin and Kane, when Undertaker wanted to hit Mankind, who also interfered in the match, with a chair he hit Austin instead, who lost the match and the title. Looks like Austin and Undertaker will go at it, when they both have healed from their injuries.

Steve Austin and Vince McMahon
At Raw is War, June 29th, the Undertaker tried to convince everybody that the reason he interfered in the match between Austin and Kane was because he didn't want his little brother to set himself on fire. Later that night after Austin had regained the WWF World Title, Undertaker was the on the receiving end of a Stunner.
The next week on Raw is War, the Undertaker demanded a shot at the WWF World Title, but McMahon said that he would decide who receives a shot at the title, McMahon also announced that Undertaker and Steve Austin would face Kane and Mankind at the next In Your House. Later that night McMahon announced that the Undertaker would fight Mankind and Kane in a triple threat match to determine the number one contender for the WWF World Title. Undertaker didn't show up, when the match started, so instead it was declared a no holds barred match which Kane took use of as he hit Mankind with a chair and then pinned him, Kane then took of the mask to reveal that it was the Undertaker, who now is the number one contender for the WWF World Title.
It seems like the Undertaker and Kane have patched things up lately, at Raw is War, July 13, after the Undertaker had defeated Vader, Kane stopped Mankind from hitting the Undertaker with a chair. When the Undertaker was asked about it by Vince McMahon and Steve Austin, he told them to go to Hell. Later the Undertaker saved Kane and Mankind from loosing the WWF Tag Team Title, when he broke the count of Steve Austin, Austin later did the same to the Undertaker, seems like trouble.
The next week on Raw is War, McMahon wanted the Undertaker to show him respect and ordered a match with the Undertaker against Kane and Mankind and then told the Undertaker to go to Hell, but McMahon was the victim of a chokeslam, Undertaker then supposedly left the arena. The Undertaker later returned but only to receive a chair in the head from Austin, who had taken Undertaker's place in the match against Kane and Mankind.
The controversy between the Undertaker and Steve Austin continued to grow at Fully Loaded, where they took on Kane and Mankind for the WWF Tag Team Title. Undertaker didn't show up until minuttes before the main event, when he finally got there he wasn't willing to tag. After the Undertaker had tombstoned his way to victory he left with the belts.
The next day at Raw is War the Undertaker demanded an apology from Steve Austin, for believing that the Undertaker was in cahoots with Kane. Vince McMahon however thought that it was him who deserved the apology, but never got it, instead he ordered a match with Undertaker and Austin against the New Age Outlaws. Austin didn't want to apologize but offered the Undertaker a bird instead. Apparently the Undertaker and Steve Austin talked things over, because after they had defeated the New Age Outlaws, Austin offered Undertaker a beer which he accepted, but the festivities was stopped by Kane and Mankind, who attacked Austin, but the Undertaker came to the rescue.
The Undertaker and Steve Austin have more or less patched things up until Summer Slam, but many things can still happen before the pay-per-view, but at least they still have the Tag Team Title, but many teams are interested in dethroning them including the New Age Outlaws, Kane and Mankind, and Owen Hart and Rocky Maivia.
Undertaker still hasn't forgiven Paul Bearer and at Sunday Night Heat, August 9 he disguised himself as Kane and assaulted Bearer and delivered the tombstone to Mankind on the concrete floor. The next day at Raw is War, Vince McMahon again stated that Kane and the Undertaker worked together, he even went as far as to say that they were the same person. When McMahon wanted to remove Kane's mask the lights went out, and when they came back on the Undertaker stood in Kane's place. Later pictures were shown of the Undertaker in his dressing room, where Kane waited. It was then time for the Four Corners Tag Team Match, which saw Kane and Mankind as victors and new Tag Team Champions. Hopefully the Undertaker and Steve Austin will get some time to build up their match at Summer Slam.
The next week at Raw is War the feud certainly heated up, since the alignment with the Undertaker and Kane seems like a done deal. Kane was dressed up as the Undertaker and attacked Austin, Steve though fought back and threw Kane into the back of the hearse and was about to get to the front seat, when he realised that the Undertaker was sitting there, the Undertaker then drove off.
Undertaker and Kane have settled their differences at Raw is War, August 24, the two appeared together but McMahon wanted to know if the Undertaker was friend or foe. Paul Bearer also tried to convince Kane to come back to him, but ended up getting a beating. Mankind then followed but Undertaker and Kane teamed up and delivered a spiked Tombstone to Mankind. Undertaker also tried to help Kane in the Hell in the Cell match against Mankind, where Austin suddenly showed up and delivered a beating to Kane. Later McMahon wanted an answer to his question if the Undertaker was friend or foe, Undertaker answered with a chokeslam, Austin then showed up but before he could do anything Kane appeared and Austin then left.
At Summer Slam, the Undertaker promised that he would face Steve Austin alone, and he kept his promise, during the match, which was an all out brawl with some extreme elements, Kane came to ringside, but Undertaker shoved him back and told him to leave. The end came when Undertaker walked the top rope, Austin hit a low blow and Stunned the Undertaker for the victory. Undertaker took the belt before he handed it to Austin. The Undertaker then left and together with Kane he sent evil eyes towards Austin.
At Raw is War, September 5, Undertaker and Kane wrecked havoc by destroying most of the matches, because they wanted to get to Vince McMahon, but to no avail, McMahon had made fun of the brothers and had used words that aren't fit to print about them. At Sunday Night Heat, September 6, Undertaker and Kane teamed up to take on Animal and Droz, the brothers totally dominated their opponents, and Undertaker injured Animal's knee when he refused to let go of a figure four leglock.
Later Undertaker and Kane brought out Patterson and Brisco to the ring, they then gave McMahon 10 seconds to show his face or his flunkies would get destroyed, which was exactly what happend. Later McMahon stated in an interview that Austin's life would end September 27, In Your House, Breakdown, this brought out the brothers, McMahon then apologized for his remarks from Raw and the called out Austin, McMahon then announced that Austin would face Undertaker and Kane in a Triple Threat Match at Breakdown.

After some months of hard training Mark started wrestling in the USWA, where he was the monster heel, the Master of Pain. As the Master of Pain he established himself and defeated Jerry Lawler for the USWA Unified World Title, but he wasn't able to hold on to it for long.
When Jerry Lawler regained the title, Mark moved on to the Dallas fraction of USWA, where he first was known as Texas Red, but that gimmick was soon dropped to be replaced by the masked Punisher. As the Punisher, Mark was able to win the USWA Texas Title, but that regain was soon ended by Kerry von Erich. Mark then left for potential stardom in WCW.

The NWA/WCW
In late 1989 Mark made his debut in the NWA/WCW, now under the guise of "Mean" Mark Callous. Soon after his debut he was teamed with Dan Spivey as the Skyscrapers, which many called the Road Warriors of the 90's. Mark took the place from Sid, who was injured at the time.
Before Mark joined the Skyscrapers, they were involved in a brutal feud with the Road Warriors, and of course the matter had to be settled, but the Skyscrapers didn't have much success against the established tag teams like the Steiner Brothers and the Road Warriors, so that was it for that comparison.
Mark was then put back into singles competition, where he fared much better defeating the likes of Johnny Ace and Brian Pillman. Mark also got a shot at the NWA US Title, which was held by Lex Luger, but Mark was not able to defeat the Total Package, luckily for Mark his contract ran out and he joined the WWF.

The WWF
At the 1990 Survivor Series, Mark made his debut as the Undertaker. The Undertaker was managed by Brother Love, and was the mystery partner for the Million $ team, brought to the WWF by Ted DiBiase to reinforce his team. Everybody was staring at him when he made his entrance coming to the ring with his slow robotic movements.
During the match the Undertaker showed that he couldn't feel any pain, and quickly he eliminated Koko B. Ware and Dusty Rhodes, before he got himself counted out, when he went after Rhodes. But the Survivor Series had showed, that the Undertaker was on his way to establish himself as a superstar-in-the-making.
In early 1991, the Undertaker took on a new manager, who understood him much better in the mortician Paul Bearer. Together the two wrecked havoc by destroying Tugboat, the Big Bossman, Jimmy Snuka, and Jim Duggan, after a victory the odd couple put the opponent in a body bag. Also during this period Paul Bearer started to bring a urn to the ring, which we were lead to believe that the Undertaker drew his powers from the urn. The Undertaker was ready for bigger and better things.
Paul Bearer had an interview segment at one of the WWF TV shows called the Funeral Parlour, one day the Ultimate Warrior came by. Paul Bearer had a gift for the Warrior, which turned out to be a casket with the Warrior logo on it. The Warrior then started to manhandle poor Paul Bearer, but the Undertaker came to his rescue, knocking the Warrior down, threw him in the casket, sealed and locked it. This was the start of a violent feud between the Warrior and the Undertaker, unfortunately it never appeared on pay-per-view, but the Undertaker dominated the matches at house shows.
Paul Bearer and the Undertaker then set their sights on then WWF World Champion, Hulk Hogan, who also got attacked by the Undertaker at the Funeral Parlour. The match happened at Survivor Series 1991, where Hogan used every move in his repertoire (all 3) to get the Undertaker down, but the Undertaker, with a little help from Ric Flair who slid a chair in the ring, finished Hogan off with the tombstone on the chair. The Undertaker became WWF World Champion for the first time.
Apparently the WWF wasn't quite ready for the Undertaker as their champion, so in light of the controversial match, a rematch was setup six days later at a pay-per-view called Tuesday in Texas. The match was just as controversial as the first and Ric Flair again showed his face, as he tried his scheme from the first match, but this time it backfired for the Undertaker, who got his head rammed into the chair and was rolled up by Hogan and the Undertaker's first regain was ended.

A face turn
The Undertaker had in his first year in the WWF almost destroyed each and every of the faces, so what was left for the WWF to do with him - turn the Undertaker into a baby face. This decision was made because Hogan and Piper was about to leave, and the WWF could see the merchandise potential in the Undertaker, who already had a cult following.
And so it happened the Undertaker came to the rescue of Elizabeth, who Jake Roberts was about to hit with a chair. Jake then asked the Undertaker at the Funeral Parlour "Whose side are you on", the Undertaker replied "Not yours", and this started the feud between the two. The Undertaker beat the living daylights of Roberts, who shortly after left the WWF.
After his face turn the Undertaker's "dark period" started, since he was programmed with all the useless heels in the WWF, which made the matches boring as hell. Let's start with the Berserker, who couldn't wrestle a doormat, even if he tried. Kamala was the next victim, who the Undertaker dominated, and the only good thing about this feud was that we for the first time saw a new type of match, the Casket Match, where the objective of the match is to get your opponent in the Casket and close the lid, of course Undertaker won the match, which happened at Summer Slam 1992.
Kamala's manager Harvey Wippleman brought in a new useless charge, in the almost 8" Giant Gonzalez, who should rid the world of the Undertaker. During the battle royal at the Royal Rumble, Gonzalez rushed to the ring and chokeslammed the Undertaker. This was only the beginning of a much too long feud between the two. Giant Gonzalez is in my opinion one of the worst wrestlers ever to step into the squared circle.
Undertaker and Gonzalez clashed at WrestleMania IX in their first match, which ended with a disqualification victory for the Undertaker, when Gonzalez used a cloth with chloroform on the Undertaker. Some weeks before King of the Ring, Gonzalez and ally Mr. Hughes floored the Taker and Paul Bearer and Wippleman stole the urn, which "concealed" the powers of the Undertaker. At Summer Slam 1993 the two men clashed again in a Rest in Peace match, this time the Undertaker came out on top and Bearer retrieved the urn, and thereby the feud ended. Thank God!

Yokozuna
The Undertaker then brought himself back to the title picture, when Yokozuna and Jim Cornette stated, that no one could beat the WWF World Champion, Yokozuna, the lights went out and when the lights came back the Undertaker stood before the champ and stated that he could beat him, whenever he wanted to. This was just the start of a feud, which brought the Undertaker out of the first part of the "dark period".
The matter was to be decided at the Royal Rumble 1994 in a Casket Match. The match was pretty exciting, but it all came to an end, when about 10 wrestlers ran in and helped Yokozuna stuff the Undertaker in the casket and close the lid. The urn was also opened during the sequence and green smoke came out from it. Then the second "dark period" started for the Undertaker, when the other wrestlers wheeled the casket out of the arena. Suddenly Undertaker was on the video wall, he said that he would get his revenge on Yokozuna, and then weirdest and stupidest thing happened, the Undertaker "died and ascended to heaven", which was meant to explain his absence for the next months, weird!
No one heard a word from the Undertaker before some weeks before Summer Slam, when Ted DiBiase claimed that he had brought the Undertaker back to the WWF with the almighty dollar as when he first brought him to the federation. Ted DiBiase then introduced the Undertaker (Brian Lee), who certainly looked like the real deal. Some weeks later Paul Bearer, with a new urn, revealed that he had found the real Undertaker, who would fight DiBiase's Undertaker at Summer Slam.
It was a strange match with two almost identical wrestlers going at it, both showed the trade mark maneuvers of the Undertaker, DiBiase's Undertaker used the Tombstone three times on Bearer's Undertaker, who each time just sat up as the real Undertaker used to, Bearer's Undertaker then blasted DiBiase's Undertaker with the Tombstone, this ended the match. And this was the rebirth of the real Undertaker, but the fans didn't respond to the Undertaker as they used too, many found the "death" angle stupid.
As promised the Undertaker then wanted revenge on his old nemesis, Yokozuna, who the Undertaker stalked on any given opportunity and the matter was resolved at Survivor Series 1994, when the two clashed in yet another Casket Match, this time with Chuck Norris as special out side ring enforcer. The match followed the pattern from the first, but this time with a different outcome, as the Undertaker came out on top.

Ted DiBiase and his cronies
Ted DiBiase wanted revenge, because of the humiliation he experienced at Summer Slam, so he sent each and every one of his cronies after the Undertaker. The first unlucky soul was IRS, who got thrashed at Royal Rumble 1995, but at the event DiBiase got away with the urn and sent King Kong Bundy to stop the Undertaker, but Bundy got his ass kicked at WrestleMania XI, where Bearer was together with the urn again for a short while, until Kama stole it and melted it into chain.
This feud was also long and boring, because whenever the Undertaker was on the verge of winning Kama interfered, that scenario happened more than once, best know was at the King of the Ring 1995, when Undertaker was about to defeat Mabel to advance to the semifinals, when Kama interfered and cost Undertaker the match. Again a Casket Match was decided to end the feud at Summer Slam the match took place. Undertaker of course destroyed Kama and won the match.
Then a month before Survivor Series 1995 at Monday Night Raw, Undertaker, Diesel, and Shawn Michaels battled Yokozuna, Owen Hart, and the British Bulldog. Suddenly Mabel interfered in the match and went after the Undertaker, and Mabel together with Yokozuna smashed the face of the Undertaker, who had to sit out until Survivor Series with an orbital socket injury.
When the Undertaker made his return, he was wearing a mask to protect his face, he looked like the Phantom of the Opera, but that didn't lower his performance, he delivered a great performance at the Survivor Series eliminating Jerry Lawler, Issac Yankem, and Hunter Hearst Helmsley, before Mabel understood what was going on, and made a run for it. Mabel later laid his hands on the chain, which Kama had made, and this heated up the feud with the Undertaker.
Diesel
Again the matter was to be resolved with a Casket Match, which took place at In Your House 5, and if you can't guess the result, you haven't paid attention, but the fact of the matter is, that the Undertaker repossessed the urn, which was later made into an urn again, this ended the Undertaker's second "dark period" and resurrected his career. At the end of the pay-per-view, Gorilla Monsoon stated that the Undertaker was the number one contender for the WWF World Title and that he would face the champ at the Royal Rumble 1996, this didn't please former champion Diesel, who stated that he would bury the Dead Man, this was only the beginning of a good feud.
When it was time for the Royal Rumble, the Undertaker made his entrance to the ring, but Diesel, who was the last man eliminated from the battle royal stood in his way, it came to few punches before the Undertaker was ready for his match against then champion, Bret Hart. In a very good match, which went back and forward and resulted in Undertake loosing his mask, the Undertaker hit Bret Hart with the tombstone and the referee counted two and was about to count to three, when suddenly Diesel pulled the referee out of the ring, which meant that the Undertaker won the match but not the title.
The Undertaker wanted revenge on his nemesis Diesel, so he thought of a plan, which took place at In Your House 6, where champion Bret faced Diesel in a Cage Match. During the match, when Diesel was about the win the match, when suddenly the Undertaker appeared from a hole in the ring and took Diesel with him through the hole. Diesel then went on to destroy the Undertaker's casket.
But the Undertaker wasn't finished with Diesel, so he used another of his mind games on Diesel. During a Diesel match, Bearer came to the ring with a casket, and when it was opened Diesel saw himself lying in it. The two big men met at WrestleMania XII, and in a fantastic match, the Undertaker came out on top, even though he was hit with the Jacknife twice.

Mankind
The following night at Monday Night Raw the Undertaker's career was redefined, when the Undertaker during a match with Justin Hawk Bradshaw, was attacked by newcomer Mankind (Mick Foley, Cactus Jack), this started the feud of 1996. Mankind soon aligned himself with Goldust and together the two played their mind games on the Undertaker.
The Undertaker was programmed to have a Casket Match with Goldust, and had an interview where he laid in the casket, when suddenly Mankind attacked. When the Casket Match took place, at In Your House 10 and the Undertaker was about to open the casket, so he could put Goldust in it, who was in the casket? Mankind who put the Mandible Claw on the Undertaker and put him in the casket.
At King of the Ring 1996 Undertaker and Mankind met for the first time in a match, the match ended when Paul Bearer "accidentally" hit the Undertaker with the urn, but this was just the beginning of the feud. The two continued to interfere in each other business, so most of their matches against other wrestlers ended with a disqualification, when the other interfered.
Undertaker and Mankind clashed again at Summer Slam in a special Boiler Room Match, where the match started in the boiler room, the objective of the match was to retrieve the urn from Paul Bearer, who stood in the center of the ring. The match was violent, but when the Undertaker reached the ring and was about to get the urn, Paul Bearer turned on the Undertaker and used the urn as a weapon. Bearer had aligned himself with Mankind and walked away from the Undertaker.
Bearer's departing from the Undertaker didn't stop him from wrecking havoc on his old enemies, he defeated Goldust in a Final Curtain Match at In Your House 10 to stop that feud, and started concentrating 100% on Mankind and Paul Bearer. In their third encounter, which was a special Buried Alive Match, where the objective of the match was to get your opponent in the grave and shovel some dirt on him. The Undertaker won the match, but he was attacked by Bearer's new protégé, the Executioner (Terry Gordy), who put Undertaker in the grave and together with some of the other heels filled the grave. The pay-per-view was just about to end, when lightning struck in one of the shovels and the Undertaker's hand came up from the grave.

Only Mark Calloway has played the role of The Undertaker.

Didn't he start out with a different name?
Yes. He debuted at Survivor Series 1990 simply as The Undertaker. In the weeks after he used the name Kane the
Undertaker at house shows and on WWF television. The Kane part was dropped awhile after and he just went by
The Undertaker again as he still does.

It was also at this time that Undertaker switched managers from Brother Love to Paul Bearer. The story given on
WWF television was that Paul Bearer simply bough out Undertaker's contract from Brother Love.

Did he ever wrestle in WCW?
Yes. Mark Calloway wrestled in WCW as "Mean" Mark Callous in 1990. He wrestled as part of the Sky Scrapers
team and then as a singles wrestler. His most famous match in WCW was fighting Lex Luger for the U.S Title at
Great American Bash.

What was the story behind the Undertaker "dying" in 1994?
At the end of 1993 The Undertaker began to feud with Yokozuna. At Royal Rumble 1994 they fought in a casket
match for the world title. The Undertaker was about to win the match when 10 heel wrestlers interfered and helped
Yokozuna put Undertaker in the casket to win.

After the match Undertaker appeared on the big video screen and gave a short speech on how he would not rest in
peace and would return for revenge. After the speech the lights went out and Marty Jannetty dressed as
The Undertaker was raised up to the roof of the arena in the crucifix position giving the angle that Undertaker
ascended to heaven.

In real life Mark Calloway just needed time off to handle some family matters. He didn't actually die!

Who was the Fake Undertaker?
About 5 months after the Undertaker "died" at Royal Rumble Ted Dibiase began claiming on WWF television that
he had the Undertaker. Paul Bearer came out weeks later and said he had the Undertaker and that Dibiase that lying.
A match was signed for Summerslam 1994 for the two Undertakers to fight each other to see how actually had the
real one.

Paul Bearer had the real Undertaker of course and Ted Dibiase just had Brian Lee dressed as the Undertaker.
Undertaker beat Brian Lee at Summerslam with three tombstones and the Fake Undertaker was never seen and
barely talked about on WWF television again.

Who is Kane?
Kane is played by Glen Jacobs. Kane is suppose to be The Underaker's brother who was burnt in a fire when he
was young. Undertaker and Kane were playing with matches and caused the fire killing their parents and scaring
Kane. Undertaker did not know Kane lived though since he was hidden by Paul Bearer. In 1997 Paul Bearer came
on WWF television and told Undertaker's story and that Kane was still alive. Kane finally appeared at Badd Blood
1997 attacked Undertaker during his match.

Did he ever beat Hulk Hogan?
Yes. Undertaker beat Hulk Hogan by pinfall at Survivor Series 1991 for the world title. Ric Flair did interfere in the
match though slipping a chair in the ring for Undertaker to tombstone Hogan on.

Why did he wear a mask in 1995?
In 1995 Mabel was being pushed as the monster hell in the WWF. To get Mabel over he did a couple of leg drops
on Undertaker and supposably broke a couple bones in his face. So Undertaker started wearing a purplish grey
mask to his matches.

Many people were
offended by the incident but it soon died down.

The group made the plan to
kidnap Stephanie McMahon and get Vince McMahon to hand over the WWF for her return.

Who were those gothic people in the crowd in 1995?
After The Undertaker was injured by Kama Mustafa in 1995 two people known as "the creatures of the night"
appeared in the crowd at WWF shows. They dressed in gothic clothes and put funeral wreaths of black flowers
by the ring.

Probably best known as "The Undertaker" from the WWF. He first came to the WWF in 1990 as Ted DiBiases mystery partner at The Survivor Series. At first he was a heel, but he later turned face, around Wrestlemania VII. He has held the WWF World Title on two seperate occasions, first at the 1992 Survivor Series (dubbed "Hulk Hogan's Gravest Challenge"), from then champion, Hulk Hogan. Hogan won the title back shortly thereafter, only to be stripped of the title due to the circumstances by which he won the match. Undertaker next won the title at Wrestlemania XIII from the Psycho Sid.

Spouse
Sara Calaway (21 July 2000 - present) 2 children
Jodi Lynn (February 1989 - June 1999) (divorced) 2 children

Trade mark

Rolls his eyes into the back of his head.

Wrestling finisher move "The Last Ride" and "The Chokeslam".

His arms, covered entirely with tattoos of "The Undertaker".

"The Tombstone Piledriver" is also another finishing move but not used as often as in the past due to the damage it does to his knees.

Walking on the top rope.

Ring entrance: Sombre walk to ring in purple light and smoke. (1999)

One of the 100 greatest wrestlers of the 20th century.
